PERSONALITY:

1. Jangan membandingkan hidup Anda dengan orang lain karena Anda tidak pernah tahu apa yang telah mereka lalui
2. Jangan berpikir negatif akan hal-hal yang berada diluar kendali Anda, melainkan salurkan energi Anda menuju kehidupan yang dijalani saat ini, secara positif
3. Jangan bekerja terlalu keras, jangan lewati batasan Anda
4. Jangan memaksa diri Anda untuk selalu perfect, tidak ada satu orang pun yang sempurna
5. Jangan membuang waktu Anda yang berharga untuk gosip
6. Bermimpilah saat anda bangun (bukan saat tertidur)
7. Iri hati membuang-buang waktu, Anda sudah memiliki semua kebutuhan Anda
8. Lupakan masa lalu. Jangan mengungkit kesalahan pasangan Anda di masa lalu. Hal itu akan merusak kebahagiaan Anda saat ini
9. Hidup terlalu singkat untuk membenci siapapun itu. Jangan membenci
10. Berdamailah dengan masa lalu Anda agar hal tersebut tidak menganggu masa ini
11. Tidak ada seorang pun yang bertanggung jawab atas kebahagiaan Anda kecuali Anda 
12. Sadari bahwa hidup adalah sekolah, dan Anda berada di sini sebagai pelajar. Masalah adalah bagian daripada kurikulum yang datang dan pergi seperti kelas aljabar (matematika) tetapi, pelajaran yang Anda dapat bertahan seumur hidup
13. Senyumlah dan tertawalah
14. Anda tidak dapat selalu menang dalam perbedaan pendapat. Belajarlah menerima kekalahan

COMMUNITY:

1. Hubungi keluarga Anda sesering mungkin
2. Setiap hari berikan sesuatu yang baik kepada orang lain
3. Ampuni setiap orang untuk segala hal
4. Habiskan waktu dengan orang-orang di atas umur 70 dan di bawah 6 tahun
5. Coba untuk membuat paling sedikit 3 orang tersenyum setiap hari
6. Apa yang orang lain pikirkan tentang Anda bukanlah urusan Anda
7. Pekerjaan Anda tidak akan menjaga Anda di saat Anda sakit, tetapi keluarga dan teman Anda. Tetaplah berhubungan baik

LIFE:

1. Jadikan Tuhan sebagai yang pertama dalam setiap pikiran, perkataan, dan perbuatan Anda
2. Tuhan menyembuhkan segala sesuatu
3. Lakukan hal yang benar
4. Sebaik/ seburuk apapun sebuah situasi, hal tersebut akan berubah
5. Tidak peduli bagaimana perasaan Anda, bangun, berpakaian, dan keluarlah!
6. Yang terbaik belumlah tiba
7. Buang segala sesuatu yang tidak berguna, tidak indah, atau mendukakan
8. Ketika Anda bangun di pagi hari, berterima kasihlah pada Tuhan untuk itu

As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering

are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.

Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY.”

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody

As I try to force my desires on this person,

even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it,

and even though this person was me. Today I call it “RESPECT.”

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life,

and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.

Today I call it “Maturity,”

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance,

I am in the right place at the right time,

and everything happens at the exactly right moment.

So I could be calm. Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE.”

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time,

and I stopped designing huge projects for the future.

Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do

and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm.

Today I call it “SIMPLICITY.”

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health— food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew me down and away from myself.

At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism.

Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF,”

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right,

and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is “MODESTY.”

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry about the future.

Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING is happening.

Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT,”

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick.

But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.

Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART.”

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others.

Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born.

Today I know THAT IS “LIFE”!

I'm sorry but I don't want to be an Emperor, that's not my business. 

I don't want to rule or conquer anyone. 

I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white. 

We all want to help one another, human beings are like that. 

We all want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. 

We don't want to hate and despise one another.

In this world there is room for everyone and the earth is rich and can provide for everyone.

The way of life can be free and beautiful. But we have lost the way.

Greed has poisoned men's souls, has barricaded the world with hate;

has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed.

We have developed speed but we have shut ourselves in:

machinery that gives abundance has left us in want.

Our knowledge has made us cynical, our cleverness hard and unkind.

We think too much and feel too little: 

More than machinery we need humanity;

More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.

Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost.

The aeroplane and the radio have brought us closer together. 

The very nature of these inventions cries out for the goodness in men, 

cries out for universal brotherhood for the unity of us all.

Even now my voice is reaching millions throughout the world, 

millions of despairing men, women and little children, 

victims of a system that makes men torture and imprison innocent people. 

To those who can hear me I say "Do not despair".

The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, 

the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress: 

the hate of men will pass and dictators die and the power they took from the people, 

will return to the people and so long as men die [now] liberty will never perish. . .

Soldiers: don't give yourselves to brutes, men who despise you and enslave you, 

who regiment your lives, tell you what to do, what to think and what to feel, 

who drill you, diet you, treat you as cattle, as cannon fodder.

Don't give yourselves to these unnatural men, machine men, with machine minds and machine hearts. 

You are not machines. You are not cattle. You are men. 

You have the love of humanity in your hearts. You don't hate, only the unloved hate. 

Only the unloved and the unnatural. Soldiers: don't fight for slavery, fight for liberty.

In the seventeenth chapter of Saint Luke it is written:

"The kingdom of God is within man"

Not one man, nor a group of men, but in all men; in you, the people.

You the people have the power, the power to create machines, the power to create happiness. 

You the people have the power to make life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure. 

Then in the name of democracy let's use that power, let us all unite. 

Let us fight for a new world, a decent world that will give men a chance to work,

that will give you the future and old age and security. 

By the promise of these things, brutes have risen to power, but they lie. 

They do not fulfil their promise, they never will. Dictators free themselves but they enslave the people. 

Now let us fight to fulfil that promise. 

Let us fight to free the world, to do away with national barriers, 

do away with greed, with hate and intolerance. 

Let us fight for a world of reason, a world where science and

progress will lead to all men's happiness.

Soldiers! In the name of democracy, let us all unite!

Look up! Look up! The clouds are lifting, the sun is breaking through. 

We are coming out of the darkness into the light. 

We are coming into a new world. 

A kind new world where men will rise above their hate and brutality.

The soul of man has been given wings, and at last he is beginning to fly. 

He is flying into the rainbow, into the light of hope, into the future, 

that glorious future that belongs to you, to me and to all of us.

Kakek Berusia 99 Tahun Tinggal di Rumah Jerami

Kakek yang bernama Liu Jia memulai usahanya saat umur 70 tahun, setelah sukses, dia menyumbangkan semua hartanya yang senilai jutaan yuan RMB. Saat berusia 83 tahun dia terpilih sebagai teladan pekerja seluruh Tiongkok yang paling tua. Sekarang, kakek ini telah berusia 99 tahun, dan dia tetap dengan sangat antusias membantu para tetangga dan menyumbangkan uangnya untuk membantu anak-anak bersekolah.


Rumah si kakek ini terletak di suatu kampung kecil yang bernama Wu Huliu di kecamatan Caozhen, Distrik Zhenhe Kota Pingdingshan, Propinsi Henan, Tiongkok Tengah.


Sebelum Tiongkok merdeka, ia pernah bekerja sebagai polisi jalan kereta api Partai Komintang selama 18 tahun. Setelah Tiongkok merdeka, dia pernah bersekolah di Universitas Militer dan Politik Barat Daya Tiongkok. Pada November tahun 1952, dia mengakhiri karir sebagai seorang prajurit dan pulang ke kampung halamannya. Saat itu dia berusia 40 tahun.


Siapa tahu, masa tua kakek ini lebih cemerlang. Pada suatu malam Januari 1982, kakek Liujia yang telah berusia 70 tahun waktu itu kebetulan mendengar suatu berita dari radio, bahwa seorang petani Propinsi Sichuan sukses mem-Profitabilitas suatu perusahaan kolektif. Malam itu, si kakek ini tidak bisa tidur, karena dia merasa orang lain bisa kenapa dia sendiri tidak bisa? Sebuah pabrik pembuatan kertas di kampungnya telah bangkrut selama 3 bulan, dia ingin mencoba menghidupkan kembali pabrik itu.


Setelah itu, kakek yang telah berusia 70 tahun ini memimpin pabrik pembuatan kertas, dan setiap tahun menyerahkan 5 ribu yuan kepada kampungnya. 7 bulan kemudian, keadaan pabrik kakek itu mulai membaik, volume produksi per tahun pabrik itu dari 27 ribu yuan sebelumnya bertambah menjadi 1,5 juta yuan.


Pada saat itulah, si kakek ini mengambil suatu keputusan di luar dugaan semua orang, yakni menyumbangkan pabrik itu kepada kampung halamannya.


Kakek Liujia yang sukses karirnya ini tinggal selama 45 tahun di rumah jerami yang sederhana.


Kini, kakek yang telah berumur 99 tahun ini cukup sehat, hanya saja pendengarannya sedikit kurang jelas. Dia telah menulis 50 lebih jilid buku harian, dan 5 jilid puisi. Dia bilang: saya yakin umur saya bisa sampai 120 tahun !
